Logos Academic Achievements

2006-2007

  • Academic Excellence: We were pleased to see that 98% of our elementary students scored in the above average range (50-75%) on the Stanford Achievement Tets, and 74% scored in the highest range (76%-99%). 80% of Logos secondary students scored in the highest quartile on the national achievement testing this year. This is a very high overall score (considering 50% is the national average) and one of the highest since we switched to the Comprehensive Testing Program tests (CTP-4 test) a few years ago. It represents a very significant achievement by our students.
  • Elementary: This year we introduced the "Fly on the Wall" program where photos of our students at work (and play) are posted on the Web for parents and grandparents to view. The photographs are updated periodically.
The elementary music program continues to grow under the care of Mrs. Carla Courtney. This past year, grade leve objectives for music were added to the Logos Elementary Curriculum Guide.
The elementary has implemented a schedule by which the students will have read through the entire Bible between 2nd and 6th grade.

2005-2006:

  • National Merit Finalists (3): Samuel Dickison, Cecilia Hui, Brian Kohl.

  • 83 percent of Logos secondary students scored in the highest quartile on the national achievement testing this year. This is the highest overall score our students have attained since we switched to the Comprehensive Testing Program tests (CTP-4 test) a few years ago and represents a very significant achievement by our students.
  • In addition, 73% of our elementary students scored in the 76-99 percentile of the Stanford Achievement Test. The average score in the elementary was 85 percent as compared to the national average of 50 percent.
  • Mock Trial – Both of our Mock Trial teams qualified for the State competition. The A team took 1st place at State and traveled to Oklahoma to participate in Nationals. At Nationals, Logos took 9th place losing only to Iowa who won 1st place. This is the best we have placed at Nationals.
  • Knowledge Bowl – The high school Knowledge Bowl qualified for the State competition for the eighth year in a row and came home with a third place finish.
  • Math Prowess – The 11th and 12th grade “Math is Cool” team took first place in the State competition.
