Mr. Nance has volunteered to help with Mock Trial for several years. For the 2005 competitions, he was officially the Team B coach.

On February 26, 2005, the Logos Team B participated in the North Idaho Regional Competition in Coeur d’Alene. In each round that they played, every ballot showed that Logos won. Team B won a few points ahead of the Logos Team A!

On March 14 and 15, 2005, they competed in the Idaho State Championship in Boise. They aimed to win some ballots against their rivals, but took every ballot and qualified for the final round against the Logos Team A. The coaches were tempted to tell the Team B students to go easy, but let them give their best. An extremely close competition resulted, and a few times, the coaches worried that Team B would win. When Team A was announced as the winner, everyone rejoiced.
