BASIC STORY: Emma is a delightful
romantic comedy and probably one of Austen's best known
works. Emma Woodhouse believes she is a
gifted match-maker and has to learn through many
errors that she is not as discerning as she thinks she is. She particularly
misses the mark when she tries to match her friend, Harriet, to a series of
“suitable” gentlemen. Mr. Knightley is Emma's best friend and has known her all her
life. He is the only one willing to tell Emma what she needs to hear.
However, she doesn't heed his wise counsel and her
troubles multiply. The ending is very satisfying, with lessons learned and
happy matches made.

The Logos Drama Club seeks to give
glory to God in the spirit of
Philippians 4:8. That is, we seek to
dwell on and display those things that are “true, right, noble, and worthy of
praise." In all our labors, on and
off the stage, we seek to do our work "as unto the Lord." The Club is self-supporting,
it receives no funding from the school’s budget.
